10 Best Wrestling Moments Of The Last Decade

6. KofiMania

At the start of this decade, Kofi Kingston's main event aspirations looked to have burned out. He was mired in the hunt for secondary titles like the Intercontinental and United States belts, and would soon retreat into the tag ranks alongside fellow afterthought Evan Bourne. Things didn't exactly look rosy.

By 2019, Kofi had rebuilt his standing in WWE as part of The New Day group, and he'd never been more respected by fans or peers. That, and a sizeable gap in company plans for the season, prompted WWE to grant Kingston what he'd always dreamed of: WrestleMania success and a big push into the WWE Title scene.

'KofiMania' was born, and fans embraced every damn second of it.

Despite ending with a whimper on SmackDown's FOX debut, the 180-day reign Kofi enjoyed from April-October was quite the trip. That 11-year wait to be recognised for his skills was worth it when Kof got to celebrate with his kids at 'Mania.
