Over 13 years on from their memorable break up in 1992, The Rockers reunited for one night only in the lead up to WrestleMania 21. For old-school fans who lived through the team's glory days in the late-80s and early-90s, it was sweet to see Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels sprint to the ring like it was 1988 and they were about to wrestle on Superstars.

Jannetty, in particular, looked great. He worked like he hadn't lost a step, and he'd tape another surprise stunner the following night against Kurt Angle on SmackDown. On Raw with Michaels, Marty performed many of The Rockers' trademark double-team moves on La Résistance.

It was obvious the old pals were having a blast.

WWE were smart not to let the comeback outstay its welcome. Longtime fans enjoyed rekindling their childhood, and there was no need to bring the team back full time. Using Jannetty as part of the build towards HBK's match against Angle was a brilliant decision.
