10 Best Wrestling Stable Wars

6. The Wyatt Family Vs. The Shield

WWE has been sadly neglecting stables for years, but they created two of the best ones they’ve ever had in 2012 with The Wyatt Family and The Shield. It was only a matter of time before they faced off.

The two factions didn’t exactly seem like natural opponents for each other. One side was a couple of scary hillbillies with a charismatic cult leader, and the other was composed of three mercenaries out for justice.

But when The Wyatt Family cost The Shield entry into the Elimination Chamber match, it was on. The two stables had one of 2013’s best matches at The Chamber with The Family coming out on top. The rematch had the same outcome, and The Shield won the third bout. That was it.

It’s a shame that The Shield broke up, as it seemed they were only scratching the surface in their rivalry. Hopefully someday they can continue the feud, as fans likely wouldn't mind a few more rounds.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
