More simplicity!

Earthquake had a decent run as a top heel in the WWF at the beginning of the 1990s, but once he had failed to vanquish Hulkamania it was back down to the card with him. Tugboat was pretty much dead on arrival with that gimmick, but Fred Ottman was well-liked by many in the business and was a more than useful individual to have on the card.

Luckily for Tugger that gimmick would die, as he turned on the Bushwackers of all people to join forces with Earthquake and 'The Mouth of the South', Jimmy Hart. Tugboat subsequently changed his name to the much more menacing Typhoon. You have a tag team comprising Earthquake and Typhoon, what else were you going to call them?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
