10 Best Wrestling Tag Teams Of 2018

7. Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre

Though truly outstanding matches have been in somewhat short supply due to the Raw Tag division's total lack of talent beyond themselves and The Shield, the Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler double act put forth a powerful front greater than the sum of its parts.

An enjoyable (if a little ordinary) babyface on NXT, McIntyre became the Diesel to Ziggler's Shawn Michaels despite original identical comparisons seeming totally absurd. A series of stupendous encounters with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose over the summer resulted in the pair only losing the Raw Tag Team Titles to help facilitate the Shield split - it was otherwise hugely stature-enhancing for the 'Scottish Psychopath', particularly when he was scripted to literally carry a broken 'Show Off' out of arenas in much the same way he'd been figuratively doing during the matches themselves.

Truthfully, it was a shame their break-up was frustratingly tossed aside as part of the Drew/Finn Bálor story in December - the two deserved better from a creative team that perhaps underestimated the interest in their eventual fracture.
