This one might take a bit of justifying, but as always, there's a legitimate reason for Seth Rollins and Murphy being deemed one of wrestling's best tag teams of the past 12 months.

For starters, it solidified the latter as a true star on the main roster, a role he had previously found severely challenging to stand on his own two feet in. Since being called up to the big leagues from NXT and 205 Live, the former 'Disciple' was heading nowhere until joining the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Through association with the then-'Monday Night Messiah', Murphy was able to put his foot in the ground, and stay there.

Furthermore, Dominik Mysterio also found himself as an established star through his work against the pairing. Now, there was never any doubts regarding the success the Mysterio son would have once he inevitably debuted, given who his father is, however, the level of success he immediately found because of the level of opposition he had to work with went a long way to further establish Rollins and Murphy's deserved inclusion on this list.

Even though they've since split up, Rollins and Murphy's alliance did everything it needed to. Murphy's established, Dominik's established, and Seth created a somewhat decent (at times) character. Less of the Murphy and Aalyah stuff though, eh?
