What do both of these matches have in common? You could easily class them both as masterclasses in tag team wrestling.
It should come as no surprise to see Matt and Nick Jackson included on this list. After all, they've been praised as the greatest tandem of today for the past decade or so. You don't achieve such a legacy without putting in the effort, and the Bucks did that and then some throughout 2020.
Their entire year was a roller coaster of ups and downs. Having that banger with Omega and Page on 29 February and then moving swiftly into the Stadium Stampede alongside Omega, Page, and Matt Hardy vs. The Inner Circle at Double or Nothing, before teasing a heel turn in the summer and beyond, and ending the year as AEW World Tag Team Champions after the much-anticipated bout against FTR, it was a busy year for the All Elite executive vice presidents.
That's the thing with The Young Bucks, though. In AEW's first year, you were never going to see The Young Bucks as the tag champs, just like you were never going to see Kenny Omega as the World Champion. It was made evidently clear when the Bucks were losing matches to The Lucha Bros, Ortiz and Santana, and Private Party. Now, however, they're the greatest pairing in the company.
