10 Best Wrestling Threats Of All Time

6. He's Hardcore

Jim Ross may have thought it best to apologise for the swearing following a memorable post-match promo on a largely-forgotten WrestleMania 2000 wrap-up, but the Oklahoman was probably p*ssing himself at the prospect of Michael Cole sh*tting himself following a Hardcore Holly promo gone very, very right.

Hardcore Holly had won the title that bore his name earlier in the show, but the slightly botched finish to the midcard cluster brawl and cartoonish 24/7 rule the Championship was contested under suggested he probably wouldn't have it all that long anyway. An old pro, Holly made his celebratory speech count.

Holly's like a kettle just waiting to boil over at Cole, heating up at such a rate with the inane interviewer that you can practically see the steam shooting from his ears by the time he delivers his famous threat. As the announcer wilts in his presence, Holly promises to start his reign at Cole's expense.

"I will break your *ss in half, you little sh*thead," carries with it the sort of angry sentiment many harbour for Raw's chief announcer in 2019. Holly's words were bullish and old fashioned, but the Alabaman was ahead of his time.
