Older fans should cover their eyes right now, 'cause they're unlikely to appreciate what's coming next. To a younger generation, The New Day > Demolition. We know, right? How dare these young whippersnappers put Messrs Kingston, E and Woods on a pedestal above Ax and Smash.

And Crush. Oh, oh wait.

Yes, as much as WWE harped on about New Day breaking the Demos' long-standing WWE Tag Title record, and despite the suggestion it was motivated by Ax and Smash's involvement in the concussion lawsuit, the triumph was fully earned. New Day are certainly more entertaining as a trio than Demolition ever were. A better straight up twosome? No chance. A better triumvirate? Hell yes.

Kofi and chums have become the trio in modern-day WWE for a reason. They don't mind poking fun at themselves, can tear the house down consistently in matches and have longevity. Love or loathe their comic book references aplenty, New Day are one of the best.
