10 Best WWE Championship Reigns Of The 2010s
8. John Cena (April-August 2013)
At the end of WrestleMania 29, John Cena won his 11th WWE Championship after his legendary "Once in a Lifetime" match with The Rock.
There's a reason that tagline is in quotation marks. If you know, you know.
After years of mini-runs with the gold, Big Match John got a decent go this time, reigning for 133 days when all was said and done. Unfortunately, WWE hung an anchor around his neck right away, as his first programme as champion was with Ryback.
Their Last Man Standing and Three Stages of Hell matches weren't brilliant, but by Ryback's standards, they were Flair vs. Steamboat.
Next up was a very underrated bout with Mark Henry at Money in the Bank, and then came the best match of this entire reign against Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam. Bryan got a brilliant showing out of the champion and ended up winning the belt in famous fashion.
It might seem like damning with faint praise to say that Cena's biggest achievement during his time with the belt was how he lost it, but the Bryan match was just that good.
