10 Best WWE Comeback Runs

The comeback run that Bret Hart enjoyed in 2010 didn't produce any great matches. In fact, we're not entirely sure it produced any matches period: whatever that thing was with Vince McMahon at WrestleMania XXVI, it certainly didn't involve any wrestling.

This example, then, is less about its technical quality than it is the much-needed catharsis of seeing the Hitman iron out those pesky issues with the chairman of the WWE board, some 12 years on from the events of Survivor Series 1997.

It just seemed like something that was wholly necessary for both parties, and perhaps the wrestling industry in general - for which the Montreal Screwjob is basically the equivalent of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ in terms of significance - to move on with the rest of their lives.

And, clearly, it wasn't just a marriage of convenience either. Bret actually stuck around beyond his WrestleMania pay-day, serving as a non-wrestling extra on Monday Night Raw long enough to help John Cena and co bury The Nexus at SummerSlam.
