10 Best WWE Divas Hired Thanks To The Diva Search

8. Christy Hemme

Diva Search: 2004 (Winner)

The fans voted for her all the way through the first Diva Search competition because the fiery redhead is easy on the eyes and had a lot of energy. Trish Stratus, in her heel persona, suggested she try decaf towards the end of the competition because of how hyper she was.

Hemme won $250,000 for winning the first competition and WWE decided to fast track her by putting her on Raw immediately. They probably should have put her in developmental first, but they likely figured that being on TV for months during the competition meant that she should be on Raw right away.

While Hemme didn't get to hold the Women's Title, she did challenge Stratus for it at WrestleMania 21 in 2005. It was a case of too much too soon. She only had a few months of training and really wasn't ready for it, but once again WWE wanted her to succeed as much as possible and their thought must have been to push her as far as possible right away.

Her run in WWE didn't last that long. She was out of the company by December 2005 after sending her to Ohio Valley Wrestling. It seemed like they just didn't have anything for her to do.

Hemme went to TNA Wrestling in 2006, wrestled for a few years there and showed a lot of improvement in the ring. She's worked for TNA ever since although she stopped wresting in 2009 and has been a ring announcer for them.
