10 Best WWE Face Turns Of The 2010s

9. The Shield - Raw 2014

Despite being super over for their entire run, The Shield began life as dastardly heels.

First introduced as enforcers for CM Punk, Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose were eventually recruited as muscle for The Authority, because everyone in 2014 had to be involved in an Authority storyline somehow.

However, things changed on a March episode of Raw, when The Authority's Director of Operations, Kane, set his attack dogs on Jerry 'The King' Lawler.

The Shield seemingly found their limit - beating up an old man - because the trio turned their backs on The Authority by beating up Kane instead.

The moment was executed perfectly - The Shield had Lawler in the corner of the ring before announcing they would do what was "Best For Business". They then slowly turned to face Kane, whose facial expressions told the entire story.

A signature Triple Powerbomb later and Kane was vanquished. The Shield then embarked upon a face run for the next three months, before Seth Rollins' chair shot heard round the world.

The Shield were already immensely popular even as heels, so turning them babyface was absolutely the right move and having them go up against The Authority was the perfect way to make sure they got cheered.
