10 Best WWE Hell In A Cell Matches Ever

5. Edge Vs. The Undertaker (SummerSlam 2008)

This bout is extremely important, because it came around soon after WWE had adopted their PG rating. It was assumed that as soon as the company went down this route, all forms of extreme violence would go the way of the dodo, thus defeating Hell In A Cell's entire purpose. What Edge and Undertaker did was provide a great framework for how to make the stipulation work under those restrictions. Unfortunately, WWE haven't always followed it since, but they proved the company's most dangerous structure still worked on a family-friendly show.

Though there weren't any absurd falls, it didn't matter. We still got great moments like the Cell wall collapsing, table breakages, and 'Taker Chokeslamming Edge from a ladder and through the ring. Great set pieces, but not gratuitous enough to violate WWE's new rating.

An emphatic finish saw 'The Rated R Superstar' first put through two tables on the outside, before being dragged back inside, hit with his own Spear and Con-Chair-To, then, finally, a Tombstone Piledriver. A real exclamation point for 'Taker in his classic feud with Edge, and a great way to end one of the finest Hell In A Cells ever.
