10 Best WWE In Your House Matches Ever

2. Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker (October 5, 1997)

In terms of Hell In A Cell matches, there are those far more infamous than the first one. That's a shame, because Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker put together one hell of a dramatic brawl inside the steel, and it had never been done before. In essence, they were creating a template for others to follow and then attempt to better in the future. At In Your House 18: Badd Blood, a shot at the WWF Heavyweight Title come Survivor Series was on the line. Typically for an In Your House event, the card hadn't exactly been knocking it out of the park. Indeed, the reigning champion Bret Hart teamed with The British Bulldog to face Vader and The Patriot in a lengthy 'Flag Match'. They couldn't hope to top Hell In A Cell. That pay-per-view witnessed the debut of Kane, who interfered in the main event and pretty much cost Undertaker the match. Shawn Michaels, bloodied and beaten, would drape over his rival and steal the match from under him. Even before that, the first Cell match was an enjoyable, historic match.
