10 Best WWE In Your House Matches Ever

1. Steve Austin vs. Dude Love (May 31, 1998)

There are few better examples of Steve Austin's popularity than In Your House 22: Over The Edge. On that night, he produced an epic showdown against Mick Foley. Under the guise of Dude Love, Foley was playing the sickening role of Vince McMahon's hand-picked successor to 'The Rattlesnake'. Further stacking the odds, McMahon himself was the Special Guest Referee. He was joined by Pat Patterson as guest ring announcer and Gerald Brisco as guest timekeeper. The latter pairing were superficial, but they were there to promote the idea that McMahon wouldn't let Austin leave the show with the title still around his waist. 'Stone Cold' did exactly that, aided partly by The Undertaker on his way to victory. As the show went off the air, Jim Ross showed real passion in his voice, declaring Austin the "toughest son of a bitch" he had ever witnessed. It was a perfect brawl, and a quite stunning piece of work overall. If wrestling fans only choose to check out one match on this list, it has to be this one.
