"The only door you ever knocked down was the door to John Cena's bedroom, and he eventually threw you out of that exact same door".

It was fair game after Ronda had ruthlessly mentioned Nikki's failed relationship with John Cena one week earlier on the same program anyway. This promo on the 15 October Raw remains Rousey's best mic performance in WWE to date. It was utterly murderous, pulled no punches and left Nikki almost speechless.

OK, so bringing up men to promote the main event of an all-female pay-per-view was rather odd and acted as a throwback to the Diva days, but it somehow felt fine coming from Ronda. She delivered her feral Cena barb with such verve and hatred that it was easy to ignore the old-school WWE women bitchy vibe.

If Rousey can channel this kind of spirit for her feuds going forward (there have been hints of it when talking about Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair), she might just steal The Miz's crown eventually. Slut-shaming Bella as she did was devilish at best and cruel at worst.
