All four men in this match were, ostensibly, heels (ah, the Paul Heyman booking philosophy...). But to the 13,416 inside the Manchester Evening News Arena, The Rabid Wolverine and the Olympic Hero were the two biggest babyfaces on the planet - especially Angle.

The Mancunians couldn't get enough of the gold medalist and reacted to everything he did with a roar of approval. Benoit and Angle were in the middle of a reluctant partnership storyline and were trying to co-exist long enough to successfully defend their Tag Team Championships against the dastardly Los Guerreros.

It may have been the Kurt Angle show, but Eddie and Chavo were by no means passengers in this contest. Oh no, the two were very quickly becoming one of the finest tag teams on the planets and showed as much here with some great intensity, psychology and sequences.

After a barrage of dives, suplexes, submission attempts, suplexes, false finishes and suplexes, Angle got the very popular pin on Eddie following an Angle slam. If you ever need convincing that the 'Smackdown Six' era of Smackdown was the absolute best, check out this hidden gem on the WWE Network.
