7. Ronda Rousey Vs. Sasha Banks (Royal Rumble)

WrestleMania 35 should have yielded Ronda Rousey's best match of the year, but a stunted layout, surprising lack of combined in-ring chemistry with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch and janky finish rendered 'The Baddest Women on the Planet's' first loss a relative disappointment.

Instead of on 'The Show of Shows,' Rousey's finest 2019 moment came on the year's first pay-per-view. Her clash with Sasha Banks was an ugly, attritional, warts-and-all scrap with a tangible element of danger. This felt like a real fight. It was a little sloppy, a little rough around the edges, and a little reckless. That's why it worked. If WWE's mainline product is a glossy, overproduced Fall Out Boy record, this was a dog-eared Dead Kennedy's LP found in a dank, dusty attic, and it absolutely ruled.

'The Boss' was brutal, going from limb locks to vicious stomps in an instant. It helped that Ronda was selling like a woman with ten times her actual experience level, of course, but the match was a reminder that Banks, on her day, is still among the best in the world, despite her loss.
