10 Best WWE Matches That Ever Happened At Nassau Colliseum

10. Chris Jericho Vs. Shawn Michaels - Great American Bash 2008

The Great American Bash was a rather historic WWE pay-per-view. Not only did the event crown the first ever WWE Divas Champion, but it was the last WWE PPV before the transition into the PG rating. Inside the ring, the action was only average but it did feature Chris Jericho against Shawn Michaels, which was the natural highlight. HBK and Y2J had the best feud of 2008. It was a long, multi-layered affair which saw them clash many times on PPV. Jericho also transitioned into his superb suit-wearing, big word using heel character. What a joy to behold that was. Their first match at Judgement Day in May was more of a babyface versus babyface affair, but their match at The Great American Bash in June was hate-filled and super-stiff. Jericho made a point of working the eye, which had been injured weeks earlier when he threw Michaels through the Jeritron 5000 during an episode of The Highlight Reel. He viciously pounded on the eye, busting it open. The ref eventually stopped the match when he deemed that Michaels could no longer continue. This is where the Michaels/Jericho feud really took off. They'd have/had better matches, but you cannot deny the impact of the angle/storyline here.
