10 Best WWE Matches That Ever Happened At Nassau Colliseum

9. Hardcore Holly Vs. Rob Van Dam - ECW November 21st 2006

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xZkdbHneTY Hardcore Holly was a solid yet unspectacular worker for pretty much all of his WWE career. You knew what you were going to get with him, namely stiff strikes and a logical story. He was someone whom WWE regularly put in with younger or more inexperienced workers to guide them and make sure they didn't screw up. He was a good hand. It took until 2006 for Holly have what could be considered a really good match. The infamous outing against Rob Van Dam where he suffered a nasty laceration to his lower back yet gutted it out and finished the match as planned, despite obvious pain. It was the best televised match of Holly's career. Had he found his muse in the laid-back RVD? It appeared so, since the two men had further excellent matches on ECW TV in the coming months. One of them was an Extreme Elimination Chamber qualifying match on November 21st 2006. Both men took a lot of punishment in a great, back-and-forth fifteen minute match. Why did it take so long to see matches this good out of Hardcore Holly?
