6. Randy Orton Vs. CM Punk Vs. Rob Van Dam Vs. Christian Vs. Daniel Bryan Vs. Sheamus MITB Ladder Match - Money In The Bank 2013
This was the All-Stars Money in the Bank ladder match with six guys that were all former WWE or World Champions. It was also the WWE return of Rob Van Dam, who received a monstrous ovation during the intros. Bryan was the most popular guy in the match since the fans were ready for him to be elevated. It was such a unique MITB match because all six guys were faces. The match earlier that same night was full of heels, so WWE went for something different in 2013. It was your typical Money in the Bank ladder match with all kinds of crazy high spots and moves. Seeing RVD climb the ladder and hit a Frog Splash off of it (or something close to it) was really cool. When it looked like Bryan was about to win the match he destroyed everybody as Sheamus went into a ladder that was outside the ring. There was interference towards the end with Curtis Axel taking out Bryan with a steel chair. Then Paul Heyman showed up to yell at Axel for interfering because he (Heyman) wanted Punk to win, but that was all a lie as Heyman shoved a ladder into Punk's back and turned on him. It was one of those symbolic types of turns where they just stared at each other to capture the moment. Orton ended up winning after dropping RVD with a RKO off a ladder and then Orton climbed up to secure the briefcase. They told a fantastic story in the match because they were given 25 minutes to have a classic match and that's what happened. That turn by Heyman on Punk was terrific. One of the better turns you're going to see even though it was really obvious at the time. When you can mix in a really entertaining match with a story that makes sense it's a definite winner.
