10 Best WWE Matches That Ever Happened In July

5. Triple H Vs. Chris Jericho Last Man Standing Match - Fully Loaded 2000

If you watch any match that Chris Jericho had against Triple H they were always pretty good. One of their matches standing out above the rest. It was the Last Man Standing Match at Fully Loaded 2000 with Jericho in the role of the energetic babyface while Hunter was the established top heel that had to prove he was better than Jericho. There are some Last Man Standing matches that are boring, but this one was amazing. Since Hunter was the more dominant wrestler of the two, it made a lot of sense that he bled like crazy during the match. It made him look weaker as Jericho aggressively tried to finish him off. Hunter even tapped out to the Walls of Jericho during the match although that didn't matter because there were no submissions. It was a match that took place at a time in Jericho's career where he had to show people he could really pull off being a physical threat. We knew him as a funny guy full of energy, but to become a bigger star he had to be more than that. That's why it made sense that they would have this wild brawl all around the ringside area. It helped Jericho in a major way to be in a match like this. Also that pop he got when he gave the Walls of Jericho to Stephanie McMahon was huge. It was an evenly booked finish with Hunter giving Jericho a back suplex through the announce table. Jericho was down, Hunter got up at 9, the ref got to 10 meaning that Jericho lost and Hunter went back down again even after he won. Great drama for that ending. When it was over people online were mad that Hunter won. It would have been the biggest win of Jericho's career, but it didn't happen. Then again he barely beat Triple H in his career.
