10 Best WWE Matches That Ever Happened In July

3. Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Brian Pillman & Jim Neidhart Vs. Steve Austin, Goldust, Ken Shamrock & Legion Of Doom - Canadian Stampede 1997

When a match takes place in an environment that is so loud that you can barely hear anything when you're in the building then you know you're witnessing something special. The babyfaces in the match were local heroes (especially Bret & Owen Hart), so when they took on the team of Americans that were heels for this match the atmosphere was out of this world. The standout performer in the match was Steve Austin, who was absolutely on fire the moment he got out there as the biggest heel in the building. The fans hated him even though other WWE fans were starting to like him. Since his main rival was Bret he was despised. He played into that by angering the fans from the moment the bell rang. To WWE's credit, they booked the match perfectly. They knew how much Austin would be hated so they had him go after Hart Family members at ringside by shoving them, even the elderly father Stu Hart. That nearly started a riot from the other Hart Brothers. That distraction led to Austin getting rolled up by Owen and the Hart Foundation got the win after 25 minutes of nonstop action. After the match was over the action continued with Austin trying to fight some more. He had to be arrested, which the crowd loved. That didn't stop him either because he ended up flashing his middle fingers at the fans even while he was in cuffs. It's one of the better matches in WWE history in terms of using the crowd to your advantage. Everything worked in this match. It's a classic.
