What a beautiful moment. Not just because everybody loved Seth Rollins, but this moment put paid to our worst fears about the outcome of Wrestlemania 31.

It all seemed so predictable. Brock Lesnar had beaten the streak and had been built up into an unstoppable monster, it also seemed pretty obvious that he'd be leaving WWE to go back to UFC. Who better to stop the evil monster than the lovable hero that had overcome everything to get his chance at greatness? The problem was, Roman Reigns wasn't the lovable hero. People despised him and the push he was getting and the fact that it seemed obvious he was walking out of Wrestlemania 31 with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after beating Daniel Bryan on the way to earning that spot and then Brock Lesnar of all people, made the hardcore fans sick.

Right before the event, WWE had done a little damage limitation to the predictability by having Lesnar announce that he'd signed a new 3-year contract. If Brock was staying, then perhaps he didn't HAVE to lose the title, right? That's what we told ourselves. However, it didn't stop Reigns being mercilessly booed whenever he would mount any offence during the match and his heroic babyface comeback was just greeted with a shower of hate. It was looking like going the way of our nightmares, after all. Enter Seth Rollins to save the day.

Rollins taking the title (using his cash-in in a way that had never been done before, to boot) got the buzz back into wrestling. The road to Wrestlemania in 2015 was branded the worst ever. People were disillusioned and promising to tap out should Reigns win the title at the grandaddy of them all, but Rollins winning the title kept them watching and eager to see how his reign would go. His booking might have made his reign mundane, but that doesn't take anything away from the moment that kept us all coming back for more.
