Recently, Seth Rollins expressed his disdain at being kept on the pre-show for Money in the Bank 2013, saying that he, Roman and the Usos felt screwed and decided to prove them wrong. Their desire to succeed in spite of the placement paid off, as they stole the show of a very good PPV before it even started.

Roman and Seth were always a tremendous unit, with their match with the Rhodes Brothers at Battleground that year being a classic. The Shield's biggest strength as a faction was their clear in-ring plans, laying out a key strategy to dissect their opponents, and capitalising on it using quick and thoughtful tags. What makes this interesting is that The Usos adapt and outsmart them, doing the Shield's own techniques, isolating Roman on the outside so Seth can't make the tag, refusing to release the pressure.

This was when Roman was fully gaining his stride as well, hitting a Superman Punch on Jey in the ropes that looked phenomenal, and completely trucking Jimmy with a devastating spear. It's a well-paced 15-minute tag match that deserves to be held up in the upper echelon of modern tag work, and proof that The Usos didn't just get great when they turned heel.
