In 2009, fans were treated to the rare sight of a 'PG' Era collective, one only featuring Shawn Michaels and Triple H. A far cry from the adult-themed hijinks of the duo during the 'Attitude' Era, this version of DX was far more child-friendly. At SummerSlam 2009, Michaels and Triple H were set to clash with 'Legacy', Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. The match wasn't the main event of the show, but it was the one which dominated much of the opening video for the Pay-Per-View. Initially, the clip was straightforward WWE-style hype, until DX hijacked the presentation. The result was an entertaining slice of - admittedly toned down - D-Generation X humour. Shawn Michaels and Triple H have been friends for so long that they have wholly natural chemistry by now. That came across during this particular intro, and fans lapped up their juvenile jokes and general banter. It was a unique way to open a major Pay-Per-View.
