Headlined by a Steel Cage war between the heated rivals, the show was also notable for being the debut of The Big Show in the company. On the Pay-Per-View broadcast, the intro which played to hype the show was eye-catching. Typically, the then-WWF favoured loud rock music and fireworks to parlay into telecasts, but St. Valentine's Day Massacre offered something a little different. Playing up to the 'love' theme, the promotion used the song, 'Driving Me Crazy'. There are various versions of the tune, but the WWF chose the one performed for the 1931 Betty Boop cartoon, 'Silly Scandal'. Interspersed with clips of McMahon and Austin at one another's throats, this PPV intro must surely stand out as one of the most experimental the organisation have ever tried. The juxtaposition of such a happy-go-lucky tune paired with the violence of the feud was a thing of beauty.
