SummerSlam 2013 was a true changing of the guard as it implemented what the focus of WWE programming would be over the next 12 months. The pay-per-view itself is well established as being one of the best SummerSlam events ever, and it's also known for having two of the best matches of all time on the card.

One of these matches was an incredible No Disqualification match between Brock Lesnar and CM Punk. The match was incredibly creative and featured some unique spots that we've never seen before. The two men had incredible chemistry and some fans state that the match is one of the best matches of their respective careers.

In the main event, Daniel Bryan pinned John Cena clean as a whistle in a tremendous main event to win the WWE Title. This was before Triple H turned on Bryan allowing Randy Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase winning the WWE Title in the process. The story set the stage for the Bryan v The Authority storyline which would expand and develop as the months went on.

Elsewhere on the card - Christian and Alberto Del Rio had a fantastic match for the World Title which showed the audience just how underrated Christian truly was. The show also featured the debut of Bray Wyatt, who defeated Kane in a visually appealing Ring of Fire match.
