10 Best WWE Pay-Per-Views Of The PG Era

5. Money In The Bank 2011

Seth Rollins WrestleMania 31
WWE

If you ask any wrestling fan what match is their favourite from the PG Era, they may suggest either Shawn Michaels v The Undertaker from WrestleMania XXV or CM Punk v John Cena from Money in the Bank 2011. The latter also happens to be an excellent all-round event from top to bottom and one of the greatest WWE pay-per-views of all time.

In relation to Punk v Cena, the match was pure magic as Punk promised to leave the company with the WWE Title if he won. Combine this with a hot Chicago crowd and you have the recipe for one of the best matches of the modern era.

Elsewhere on the card, Christian became a two-time World Champion when Randy Orton got himself disqualified in their World Title match. Mark Henry and Big Show had a fun match that acted as a prelude to the Hall of Pain storyline. In terms of the two MITB matches, Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan were chosen to win the two matches, with the latter going on to have an incredible WWE career which truly started on this faithful night in the summer of 2011.
