10 Best WWE PPV Endings Ever

5. Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero On Top Of The World - WrestleMania 20

Earlier on in the night at WrestleMania 20, Eddie Guerrero defeated Kurt Angle to retain his WWE Championship, much to the delight of the millions of fans watching around the globe. That was an outstanding match - but it was only the starter for what was to follow later on in the evening. The main event saw Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit - Guerrero's lifelong friend and former stablemate - lock horns in a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship. It was a brilliant match, with all three men putting on a spectacular show for the huge crowd in attendance. There were plenty of near misses throughout, with the match living up to its billing as the main event of the show. All three were technically outstanding, and the match had plenty of drama, and plenty of two counts to keep the crowd on the edge of their seat. The curtain came down on the show when Benoit eventually made Triple H submit, with the Canadian finally lifting the title aloft following the match. His close friend Guerrero - both men now the major title holders in the company - came down the ramp for an emotional embrace, with the show going off the air as both men held their championships up in the air. It was an incredibly poignant and emotional moment, and was fitting of WrestleMania. Whilst the majority of endings on this list are featured due to the shock factor or the entertainment factor, this was one of those rare moments where wrestling broke kayfabe. Fans all across the world could see what it meant to be both men to be champions at WrestleMania - and that makes it a worthy addition to this list.
