4. Rob Van Dam Finally Wins WWE Title - ECW One Night Stand 2006

Back in 2006, Rob Van Dam won a Money in the Bank match to receive a briefcase that he could cash in at any point over the forthcoming year. RVD was quick to decide where he wanted to cash it in - at an ECW event called One Night Stand The champion of his choice was John Cena, who had to defend his belt in a ferocious atmosphere at an ECW show - Rob Van Dam's breeding ground. The reaction Van Dam got when he emerged to take to the ring was electrifying, as he took over five minutes to get into the ring, because he was acknowledging the huge support he had on his side. Cena's reaction when emerging to compete was equally electrifying - but slightly more intimidating. With the traditional ECW rules in place, both men really put their bodies on the line to put on a show for those in attendance. However, despite having everything stacked against him, Cena refused to give in, and the crowd were beginning to get incredibly frustrated. That was, however, until a masked man emerged and laid out Cena with a huge spear. He was revealed to be Edge and, after he left the ring with Cena crumpled in a heap, the crowd sensed an opportunity for Van Dam to strike. They weren't the only ones, either, as Paul Heyman - ally of Van Dam and fellow ECW legend - emerged to provide the three count that would give RVD his first major championship with the WWE. Fans of wrestling will have loved this ending because, after years of never getting to the top of the tree, Van Dam had finally picked up a major championship with the company, something which many felt was severely overdue.
