10 Best WWE PPV Matches Of 2019 (So Far)
4. Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles (Money In The Bank)
Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles at Money In The Bank could be summed up by saying it was everything Styles vs. Daniel Bryan wasn't at Royal Rumble. Armed with a story of babyface respect and a fresh feel, the MITB scorcher also dropped around five minutes of ring time compared to the Bryan match, and it was better for it.
Length only works when there's something there to fill it, shall we say.
For example, Seth's WrestleMania win over Brock Lesnar would've sent everyone to sleep had it gone the same length as this one. Similarly, fans would've been outraged had Rollins vs. AJ gone less than three minutes like Seth vs. Lesnar did. It's all about balance and picking a time that suits the match. WWE got that spot on at MITB.
This was a step back towards the workhorse Seth Rollins rather than the fired-up 'Beast Slayer' who sprinted through the task in hand. He and AJ took their time early, picking their spots and weaving a tale of oneupmanship. Fingers crossed this isn't the last time they meet on pay-per-view this year.
