10 Best WWE Promos Of The Decade

8. The Salmon Suit

Mark Henry to the WWE Universe and John Cena

Monday Night Raw - June 17th, 2013

"I'm on the road, close to 200 nights a year. To my beautiful wife, Jana. I think you will see more of me than you want to. And to my son Jacob, who is a fanatical wrestling fan. Some of y'all seen him on Twitter. And my little girl, Joanna. To my little girl, Joanna, who cries when I leave home. Baby, I'm coming home! You think it's that easy!? I got a lot left in the tank! And that'll be mine soon. That's what I do!"

In a moment you can't believe WWE hasn't awkwardly rehashed for some cheap heat in the years since, Mark Henry interrupted the reigning WWE Champion to announce his retirement. He cried, the fans cried, and then at the whole scene's most delicate moment, he flattened Cena and announced he'd be taking his title.

As swerves go, WWE still hasn't quite managed to pull a rug out from a crowd so quickly and effectively in 7+ years since. That they didn't follow through on this by putting the belt on Henry remains a creative misstep that they'll never be able to rectify.
