The Highlights: WWE ran a major risk by splitting the roster in half with the return of the Brand Split, so the first Raw coming out of the 2016 WWE Draft was a test as to whether it would work. Thankfully, WWE actually put effort into ushering in a "New Era" by changing virtually everything about the flagship show on 25 July, making it one of the greatest episodes of Raw in many years.

Raw wasted no time in establishing that the "New Era" was in effect by debuting an updated set, theme song, commentary team, graphics, and more. Finn Bálor also made his premiere appearance on Monday nights, winning a Fatal 4-Way before later beating Roman Reigns in clean fashion to punch his ticket to SummerSlam.

But the best bout of the night came when Sasha Banks unseated Charlotte as the Raw Women's champion in an early Match of the Year contender. Heck, even the return of jobbers was awesome! For one night, it truly felt as if WWE had changed their ways.

The Low Points: Criticizing anything on this historic episode would merely be nitpicking, though The New Day's celebration with "Sonny Boy" dragged on a little too long while Neville's return flew under the radar. On the whole, however, this was a sensational show, and nothing came close to topping it.
