10 Best WWE Returns Of 2019 (So Far)
7. Sami Zayn - Raw (8 April 2019)
Unlike some of the surprise comebacks on this list, Sami Zayn's return to WWE was a long time coming.
Returning from a 10-month absence following surgery to repair both rotator cuffs, he showed up on the Raw After 'Mania and was greeted by a thunderous response from the audience who, like always, showed their affection for the popular superstar by singing his theme song at the top of their voices.
Lapping up the applause, Zayn would then issue an open challenge, which was answered by none other than Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor. The two went on to have a great match (with the title on the line), with Bálor coming out on top - kick-starting another heel turn for the returning Zayn.
It almost makes you wish that WWE hadn't turned him heel again so soon because, in spite of how strong he is in the villainous role, it would have been nice to see if they could have actually capitalised on the reaction that he received and made him the top face that he always could have been.
