When Vince McMahon announced that he was replacing Kofi Kingston in the main event of Fastlane with another superstar, there was uproar as the audience showered him with boos. However, when he introduced the man who was replacing him, those jeers were replaced by deafening cheers. That's how happy the WWE Universe was to see Kevin Owens.

At the time, it seemed like a bittersweet moment because the returning superstar was robbing Kofi of his main event spot, but given that we all knew the latter would get his chance to shine at 'Mania, it was worth it just to see Owens receive the attention that he deserved.

Expressionless as he made his way down the aisle, it was clear that he was there to make an impact and, following the hideous storylines (and countless burials) he was forced to endure before his knee injuries, it was great to see him welcomed back to SmackDown Live with an automatic main event spot.

It was a comeback that promised new things for the talented star and that, more than anything, made this a moment worth celebrating.
