10 Best WWE Roster "Shake-Up" Moves

7. Johnny Nitro And The Miz To ECW (2007)

Beginning with the 2005 Draft, the televised portion would be strictly for swapping main eventers and pushed talents on the rise. Once that concluded, assorted midcarders would be shuffled around in a non-televised "supplemental draft". In the case of the 2007 edition, the TV version of the Draft would ultimately prove pointless (more on that another time), while the supplemental edition positioned the future well.

A pair of aimless midcarders in Raw's Johnny Nitro and SmackDown's Miz were pulled into the ECW brand, where they would quickly re-establish themselves as stars to watch. Nitro was given the ECW Championship under ignominious circumstances, but repurposed himself well enough as the melancholy riddle-box known as John Morrison.

As for Miz, his "Chick Magnet" gimmick was fairly mild, but when he and Morrison banded together as a comedy duo of opposites (Miz's energetic bombast, Morrison's dry musings), they got each other over as talents with much to say and offer.
