Roman Reigns entered Royal Rumble 2014 with incredible momentum behind him, coming off an incredible performance at Survivor Series two months earlier. This was also the first Royal Rumble for all three members of The Shield, so everyone was waiting what to see how the notoriously loyal team would function in an every man for himself environment. Reigns was nearly eliminated when his Shield brother Dean Ambrose took advantage, but Reigns turned around and eliminated both Ambrose and Rollins to prove there really are no allies in a Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns was eventually eliminated by Batista, but the fans were solidly behind him and booed Batista furiously as he celebrated. Over the course of thirty-three minutes, forty-one seconds, Roman Reigns eliminated twelve other superstars, nearly half of the competitors. He broke Kanes record that stood for over a decade, and itll be a long time before anyone comes close to breaking it again. Now its a year later, and many people are picking Roman as the front-runner to win this years Royal Rumble match. Hes drawn some criticism recently because some fans think he isnt ready for this level of push, but they'll have to wait for January 25th to see if he has what it takes.
