Feuds don't come much more personal than Matt Hardy versus Edge - or, in the circumstances, should we perhaps say: Matt Hardy versus Adam Copeland? Because, really, this was more than just an on-screen wrestling rivalry.

It began, in fact, away from the cameras when Hardy discovered that his real-life girlfriend Lita was having a real-life affair with Edge - in real life.

Some Raw writer - who was simultaneously evil and a genius (most likely Vince McMahon) - then decided that it would be a good idea to have the pair take their legitimate beef into the kayfabe world of WWE - and thus one of the most intense feuds of the Ruthless Aggression Era was born.

The highlight? Probably that excruciatingly awkward exchange on Todd Grisham's short-lived Byte This! web series.
