Didn't he almost have it all?

Yes, Dolph Ziggler's only crowning glory since winning his World Title the night after WrestleMania 29 might have been as a result of Sting dragging his unconscious frame over the equally conked out Seth Rollins, but for one night, 'The Show Off' had a reason to gloat.

Exhibiting guts and glory beyond Lex Luger's feeble efforts twenty years earlier, Ziggler's victory vanquished the evil Authority and should have elevated him back to where he briefly appeared to belong, but both matters were less than pressing within a month of his win. Though Triple H and Stephanie McMahon's return came almost as quick as Ziggler's renewed stasis, the post-show bleakness doesn't dilute the drama on retrospective inspection.

Not entirely a one-match card, the show's average is heavily levelled up by the topliner. Nikki Bella's 30 second dethroning of AJ Lee isn't worth your time, as isn't a p*ss-weak battle featuring Adam Rose and his bunny taking on Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil.

That said, Dean Ambrose's battle with Bray Wyatt wasn't the worst thing 'The Eater Of Worlds' was ever responsible for by a long chalk, and Damien Mizdow's side-splitting act as stunt double for The Miz carried an opening Survivor Series eliminatuon match far beyond its low expectations.
