When Edge and Chris Jericho won the WWE Tag Team Championships at The Bash in 2009, fans were excited at the potential in the team. That excited was short-lived, as Edge went down with a serious injury that would sideline him for the remainder of the year. Jericho needed a new partner and speculation was rife with who that new partner would be. Most people assumed that this would be the perfect opportunity for a young up-and-coming wrestler to make a name for themselves. A lot of people were left dumbfounded when the spot went to The Big Show. WWE had messed up again, fans cried... But the move was not only a logical one, but a stroke of genius on their part. Who else would the cowardly Jericho go to? Why wouldn't he go for the biggest, nastiest, most decorated wrestler he could find? The two proved to have very good chemistry together and the dynamic worked well. Jericho would run his mouth and get in over his head and then Big Show would have to come to his rescue. Although their tag team tenure didn't last as long as it could, Jeri-Show left an impression and had some great matches in the process. Some of their best include their bout against Rey Mysterio and Batista at Hell in the Cell and against DX in a TLC match at the PPV of the same name.
