10 Best WWE Theme Songs By Famous Artists
4. All Of Motörhead's Songs For Triple H
This entry includes "The Game," "Line in the Sand," and "King of Kings". They're all wonderful themes that have fit Triple H throughout different phases of his career.
When Triple H first used "The Game" as his entrance music in 2001, he was one of professional wrestling's top heels. By calling himself "The Game" and coming out to a song that asserted that he was just that, he wanted everyone to know that it was all about him.
Motörhead also wrote "Line in the Sand" for Triple H's run as the leader of Evolution. The song was slower than "The Game" was, which helped him to emanate the confident arrogance that defined his oft-denigrated run from 2002-05. He didn't need a fast-moving, hard-hitting entrance theme - he was on top of the world, and he could swagger down the ramp at his leisure.
Finally, although Triple H used "King of Kings" as early as 2006, the song is best remembered as his "Authority" theme. This song worked flawlessly for a megalomaniac, as it commanded its listeners to "bow down to the king". Hell, calling himself a "king" (let alone "king of kings") in general reeks of egomania.
Man, Triple H really likes Motörhead...
