"Cult of Personality" was not only Living Colour's biggest hit, but it's exactly what Punk at his peak - a charismatic public figure who influenced a band of followers to revere him in an effort to rise to a higher position within the company. And that's precisely what he did.

So, when Punk made a surprise return to WWE a few short weeks after his incredible showdown with John Cena at 2011's Money in the Bank PPV, it made sense that he was coming out to this song for the first time.
