10 Best WWE TV Matches Of 2017

8. Money In The Bank (SmackDown Live!, June 27th)

A marvellous make-good from WWE after electing to chalk off Carmella's first Money In The Bank victory following match-winning interference from James Ellsworth, SmackDown Live!'s do-over offered the same outcome in substantially more satisfying circumstances.

Tamina, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Natalya and the 'Princess Of Staten Island' went to war over the treasured briefcase and did away with the kid gloves treatment ordinarily afforded to women's weapons matches.

Key spots saw Becky scale a folded ladder fought over mid-ring by Tamina and Charlotte, before Flair later used a shorter ladder to dart up a taller one just take out Natalya. Carmella almost claimed victory earlier before every other combatant moved both her and the ladder away from the case.

After Lynch sabotaged a repeat attempt by Ellsworth to steal one for his charge, Carmella violently took her out with a steel chair to free the ring and unclip the case. It was an uncompromising and unflinching conclusion that lay in stark contradiction to the booking of the original, barely sullied by the company's post-match self-aggrandising for the whole thing after the fact.
