10 Best WWE Win/Loss Records Of 2017 So Far
5. Shinsuke Nakamura (W8 - L3 - D0)
There’s much to be said about the way Shinsuke Nakamura has been booked on the main roster thus far.
Creative haven’t done a particularly good job of making him feel like a special superstar, with ‘The King Of Strong Style’ often coming-off as a goofy court jester on SmackDown, but his popularity is still through the roof, and he has been a tremendous success in the ring.
Nakamura’s win percentage currently sits at 73%. His sole main roster loss came at Money In The Bank, when Baron Corbin scaled the ladder to claim the briefcase. This isn’t exactly a conclusive defeat for Shinsuke, whose two other losses came when wrestling Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship on consecutive TakeOver events.
He was needlessly booked to go 50/50 with the lowly Dolph Ziggler at Backlash, but has since pinned United States Champion Kevin Owens on three separate occasions. Nakamura is SmackDown’s most protected superstar, and there’s little reason to believe this won’t continue throughout the year.
His first clean SmackDown loss will feel like a huge occasion, particularly if it comes against someone like AJ Styles, whom he’s expected to face this summer.
