10 Best WWE Women's Wrestlers Of 2017

2. Alexa Bliss

Putting possible over-exposure to one side - some fans, towards the end of the year, complained that they were seeing too much of her at the top of the card - you can't deny that Alexa Bliss has had a stellar 12 months.

Alongside Charlotte, in fact, The Goddess of the WWE is one of only two female competitors on the company's books who can claim to have led a starring role on both SmackDown and Raw, having made a seamless transition to Monday nights back in April.

Inside the ring, Bliss has made substantial improvements - as shown by matches she has shared with the likes of Bayley at Payback (arguably the best match of the night) and Sasha Banks a few months later at SummerSlam - but it's on the mic where she really earns her money.

Without a heel of this kind, the female ranks on Raw would undoubtedly be a less interesting place. It's promos like the ones she shared with Mickie James that have helped elevate the division to meaning beyond that of merely the title itself - and for that she has to be one of the year's leading performers.
