While Sami Zayn has only been on the main roster a short time, his total tenure in WWE when you include NXT puts him at nearly three-and-a-half years of television time.

Just four months into 2016, Zayn potentially locked up the best match of the year when he took on Shinsuke Nakamura at Takeover: Dallas. It was a dream match that was even better than you could have pictured from the two world class competitors. And in 2014, he may have had the best match of that year as well when he faced-off against Neville at Takeover: R evolution.

During his time under a WWE banner, Zayn has also had a brilliant series of matches with Cesaro that solidified him in the eyes of NXT fans who may not have been familiar with his work on the indie scene. Hopefully we'll get some sequels in the future. Then, of course, there’s the top-notch work with Kevin Owens.

With Zayn in a more prominent role on TV these days, and due to the fact that he’s still young, it’s possible he’ll have another match or two of the year before we reach the end of the decade.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
