10 Best WWE WrestleMania Endings Ever
5. WrestleMania VI
WrestleMania VI is the perfect example of a one-match card.
Nobody remembers The Colossal Connection vs. Demolition, or even Brutus Beefcake breaking Mr. Perfect's undefeated streak. Everyone remembered Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior. WWF Champion vs. Intercontinental Champion. Winner takes all.
After crossing paths at the Royal Rumble, Hogan challenged The Warrior to a match for the ages. The two biggest babyfaces in company history colliding for the first time ever. For a wrestling fan in the '90s, this was a dream come true.
The match doesn't hold up by modern standards, but it didn't need to. It was two big, jacked-up dudes yelling, posing, and (occasionally) doing some wrestling moves on each other. Fans ate this up like it was free dessert.
The match ended when Warrior reversed a Hogan leg drop and hit The Ultimate Splash to do the unthinkable - pin Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania. It had never been done before and it has only been done once more since.
Seeing Hogan pass the torch to The Warrior as he held both titles aloft was truly a sight to behold. It was the dawning of a new era of the World Wrestling Federation, heralded by the arrival of its new top star.
Again, sadly, shame it didn't last.
