10 Best WWE Wrestler Win/Loss Records Of 2016
7. Dean Ambrose (W38 - L16 - D3)
Dean Ambrose finished 2016 with an identical win percentage to Baron Corbin (67%), but he finishes a spot higher for two major reasons: more wins overall, and more wins of high significance.
2016 was the most productive year of Ambrose's career, Shield or otherwise. While 2014 and 2015 had largely seen him consigned to Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns' shadow, The Lunatic Fringe's WWE career finally took flight in 2016.
Ambrose has always been hugely popular, but he has never been this successful between the ropes. The year's first few months weren't much to write home about (particularly his disappointing WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar), but everything changed at Money in the Bank in June. Ambrose cashed-in his newly-won briefcase on Seth Rollins, and in a move that should've come many moons ago, he was finally made WWE Champion.
Dean enjoyed a solid championship run before eventually dropping it to AJ Styles at Backlash, and has now established himself as SmackDown's top full-time babyface. Few superstars have benefited from the Brand Split more than Dean Ambrose, and it's reflected in his win/loss record. Sure, he's not exactly dominant, but if you were to remove his early year struggles, Ambrose would likely sit somewhere in the top three. A great set of numbers for someone who looked doomed to an eternity as The Shield's third most successful member.
